How long have you served on Staff Congress?

The following answers were provided by the candidate. They appear unedited.

  1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?

As a proud alumni and Murray native, I am deeply rooted in both our campus and our community. After years in the corporate world, I chose to return to Murray State for the opportunity to pour into students the way so many staff poured into me during my time as a student here. Serving on Staff Congress, alongside my peers, would allow me to have an active role in influencing growth across campus, while focusing on enhancing both the student and staff experience. My role in the Office of Recruitment has shown me just how impactful our staff are in the decision-making process for prospective students. Being a parent of an incoming Freshman myself, I am passionate about ensuring our staff have the skills and resources they need to continue to make a positive impact.

  • Please list work experience and community involvement.

Serving as the Coordinator of Student Development in the Office of Recruitment, I coordinate group visits to campus, meet with prospective students and their families, oversee the Student Ambassador Program and plan special campus events. Prior to my time in this role, I served campus through auxiliary services as the Marketing Manager for Sodexo-Racer Dining. Outside of my role on campus, I am involved in the community as a member of the Murray High School Career and Technical Education Advisory Council, I am active as a Future Business Leaders of America Regional and State volunteer, and I am a parent volunteer at both Murray Elementary and Murray High School.

  • Will you be able to regularly attend the meetings and work on committee assignments?

Yes
