  1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?

I would like the opportunity to continue contributing to decisions that directly impact staff. I’m passionate about advocating for the interests and well-being of staff members, ensuring their voices are heard and valued. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving in this role and hope to continue fostering collaboration and community across campus. As an alumnus, this university shaped me as a student, and I’m committed to giving back in meaningful ways.

  • Please list work experience and community involvement.

I’ve been active in TRiO advocacy at both the state and national level. Since 2023, I’ve participated in the Council for Opportunity in Education’s Policy Seminar in Washington, D.C., advocating for increased funding and federal support for TRiO programs. I currently serve as Chair of the Kentucky TRiO Alumni Society and have been a member of the KY TRiO Advocacy Committee since 2023.

I’m also dedicated to service within my faith community. I volunteer at both the parish I grew up in and the one I currently attend. During Lent, I help prepare fish dinners for the local community, fostering connection and support during this meaningful season. In the summer, I co-lead the cooking crew for our parish picnic, where we spend 24 hours preparing roughly 4,000 pounds of pork and mutton. These experiences allow me to give back while building strong ties within my community.

  • Will you be able to regularly attend the meetings and work on committee assignments?

Yes
