1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I have loved Murray State since I was a child visiting my grandfather’s office, and I have been a proud part of Murray State since my first day on campus as a student. To me, loving something means wanting the best for it—I want to see Murray State grow and improve as an institution. I am running so I can be a voice that supports the needs of our staff and campus. I want to promote a healthy work-life balance for all staff, support initiatives and programs that reduce burnout, and advocate for the diverse needs of the many employees that keep this campus running.
2. Please list work experience and community involvement.
I have worked as an Administrative Assistant in Parking Services for just over three years. Prior to that, I served the campus as a student worker for the Department of Art and Design and as a Resident Advisor with the Housing Office. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the university from multiple angles and I have fostered positive relationships throughout my time here. My work experience has taught me, above all else, the importance of fast and reliable communication—both between team members and between departments. I have worked hard to maintain open communication within my role as an Administrative Assistant, and I hope to bring that same commitment to positive communication to the staff as a whole.
