- Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
Murray State University is responsible for making a difference in the city of Murray. I want to be part of making a difference at Murray State. I believe that improvements made on-campus for students, faculty, and staff will lead to positive changes for the community.
- Please list work experience and community involvement.
I served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. My duties in the military ranged from loading munitions on the F-16 to communications security. I continued to work in communications security for the next 13 years after leaving the military in 2009. My military and civilian careers have given me the opportunity to live in various places like Utah, Virginia, Germany, Oman, Austria, Qatar, Pakistan, and Oklahoma which gives me a different perspective when it comes to helping students and relating to my colleagues. Since February 2025, I’ve worked at the university as a Student Accounts Coordinator (Bursar’s Office) in the Student Financial Services department. Every job I’ve held has had some level of service to it. Whether serving the country, serving our allies on behalf of the government, or serving students and their families in the Bursar’s Office I have made a career of serving others.
