1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I am seeking re-election because I like to work to make things better for staff at Murray State. MSU is a great place to work because we have had the opportunity over the years to work with the administration to get things accomplished for the staff. Over the years I have welcomed staff input and suggestions. That still continues. My office phone number is 809-4491 and my email address is oherndon@murraystate.edu. 2. Please list work experience and community involvement. I earned both of my degrees at Murray State (BSB 1986 and MBA 1988). I have been a full-time employee at Murray State since 1991 as the department’s publications system manager. In my time on Staff Congress I have served five terms as president, a term as vice president and a term as treasurer. Over the years I have served on the working conditions committee, personnel policies and benefits committee and chair of the credentials and elections committee. I am currently serving as chair of the University’s Faculty and Staff Insurance and Benefits Committee; I have served on that committee for a number of years. My goal on Staff Congress and the I & B committee is to speak up and get things accomplished for the staff. I am also active in church where I am a member.
