The candidate was presented with the following questions. The responses are printed as received and have not been edited by Staff Congress.

1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?

I have worked at Murray State for a few years now and I would love a chance to serve and support the staff here! As someone who has worked with both the local community and the student body, I believe I can provide new insights and creative ideas that will help propel Staff Congress forward. I also want to be able to provide staff at Murray State with as many opportunities as possible to have their voices heard. Having built so many relationships across campus through previous positions, my hope is that I can help foster and create a united front for all staff members at Murray State. Communication is the backbone of any organization, and my goals are to make sure that all staff, faculty, administration, and others, always have open lines of communication between one another.

2. Please list work experience and community involvement.

I served as the Employer Relations Coordinator for Career Services for over four years. In this position, I was responsible for organizing career fairs that brought in hundreds of employers and students alike. I frequently connected both faculty and staff, as well as students, with employers, both local and out-of-state, to foster relationships and discover new opportunities. I have now transitioned into a new role as a Professional Advisor for the Center for Student Engagement and Success. I will be assisting with the new First-Year Advising Model that Murray State will be implementing over the course of the next couple years.
