1. Why would you like to serve on Staff Congress?
I would like to serve on Staff Congress and use my marketing experience to help communicate the many benefits available to staff, like business discounts and special events. I would aim to increase the transparency of decisions and topics that are up for discussion. I would advocate for the unique needs of underrepresented staff members. I would look for small ways to boost morale. Morale seems to be improving but was at an all-time low last summer. Murray State is a much better place to work when everyone feels heard, recognized for the work they do and valued, not just as employees, but as people first.
2. Please list work experience and community involvement. I’ve served on the President’s Commission for Diversity and Inclusion and the President’s Commission for Admission and various other committees. I live in Murray and am involved with the Art Guild and St. John’s Episcopal Church.
